This week, I whipped up fresh batches of Tallow Face Cream to fill your orders (thank you for your continued support!). These dreamy little jars are packed with skin-loving goodness, and I’ve had so many great questions about why tallow works—so let’s talk about it.

✨ What Is Tallow, and Why Do We Use It?

Tallow is rendered fat from 100% grass-fed, grass-finished beef, and it has been used for centuries in skincare for a good reason—it works.

Here’s why I love it, and why your skin might love it too:

💧 It’s deeply moisturizing without clogging pores

Tallow is non-comedogenic, which means it won’t clog your pores. Its fatty acid profile is incredibly similar to our skin’s own natural oils, making it ultra-absorbable and deeply nourishing—even for sensitive or acne-prone skin.

🌿 Packed with anti-inflammatory + healing properties

Tallow contains conjugated linoleic acid (CLA)—a powerful anti-inflammatory compound that helps calm skin irritations. It also has natural antioxidants, which help protect the skin from free radicals and environmental stressors.

I currently offer three varieties of face cream, all handcrafted in small batches right here in Colorado:

• Lavender – calming, floral, and perfect for nighttime rituals

• Ylang Ylang – sweet, soft, and uplifting

• Unscented – gentle, pure, and perfect for sensitive skin or minimalists

All three are made with the same nourishing base of 100% grass-fed tallow, jojoba oil, vitamin E, and essential oils (or none at all, in the unscented version).

Tallow ingredients: 100% grass fed beef tallow, organic sweet almond oil, organic rosehip oil, and either ylang ylang , lavender or unscented.
